This is an absolute must-see for visitors and Austinites alike. Commonly known as Graffiti Park, HOPE Outdoor Gallery "is a project of HOPE Events a local 501(c)3 non-profit group that connects creatives with causes and was launched in 2010 to provide a canvas for artists to share education and inspiration through large scale murals and messages."
What you get is some of the most amazing graffiti you will see anywhere. The artwork is completely unique and ever changing. There are multiple levels of art with a trail that leads to the top of the installation, which is actually the concrete framework of a former structure. There's loose rock, broken glass and plenty of roots to trip a person up so definitely wear sneakers.
Make sure and bring your camera along or hate yourself later for it. We saw people of all ages, shapes and sizes taking in this amazing art installation. Give yourself a good 45 minutes to an hour and try to avoid the hottest part of the day. Free parallel parking is available along the street but space is limited.
My advice to anyone -- Go, and go now!
