Went to the inaugural year of racing here fro F1. Thought it was going to be a nightmare, but instead turned out to be well maanged and staffed. Getting in and out was simple. Just minutes from tollway. These guys really knew what they were doing and onsite staff was very friendly.

Only complaint was that food could have been better.

Attended 2 days of the MotoGP in April. I am a former motorcycle roadracer, so my evaluation of the track is more than just as a bystander.

The track layout is first-rate and there are many areas where you can see multiple corners. We hung out at turn 9.5, saw a lot of action but there was no big monitor there.

The track management/promoters failed miserably in presenting Austin culture to the foreigners, visitors and locals. There was extremely loud rap music blaring, with a bass level so loud it made your chest vibrate. Couldn't get away from it. The food offerings were pitiful; I saw little, if any, local fare. But I did see a pork tenderloin sandwich truck. Might as well have been in Des Moines.

They need to get a clue and start making this an Austin experience.

Great to have the world visit Austin, Plenty of great seating in general admission. Walk can be long depending on parking location. Needs some shade trees. Only complaint - more monitors are needed on the East end of the track to view live coverage. Great time for both races and concerts.

Nicely laid out. Nice size, not too big. Good selection of concert food and about average in price. I would go again. Even lawn seats were good.

My husband and I attended the Mumford and Sons concert at this venue and truly, truly enjoyed it! Since it's a new venue, there isn't a lot of shade. There are trees that have been planted on the premises, but they're not very big yet. Once the sun went down, we were much more comfortable.

The venue is spread-out with lots of room to roam. The amphitheater isn't huge, so I think that all of the seats are good. We were toward the back and were able to see the stage rather well. The sound is very good, the overall atmosphere is quite relaxing. We would love to return someday! (We enjoyed it more than the American Airlines Center for Coldplay!)

TIPS:

Purchase your parking pass online prior to the concert, and arrive early! Otherwise, you'll pay a lot more when you arrive, and you'll get stuck in traffic. Even if you end up parking far away, there is a tram that will take you to the entrance.

If you sit on the lawn for a performance, don't sit front and center. The sound booth and equipment might block your view.
