“A comfortable new hotel”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

The facility is brand spanking new, and it is the latest in a series of new hotels in the Austin area in its price range. Good breakfasts, nice rooms with comfy beds. A few problems-- most important, it is hard to find! Only a small, temporary sign on the highway. The front desk staff is inexperienced. One young man was speaking with my daughter who was trying to find the hotel while I was standing at the desk, and would not allow me to talk with her despite the fact that I identified myself, her, and showed him her room key while she was on the phone. He gave very bad directions and it took her 45 minutes for what should have been a 15 minute trip. But sooner or later they will train or replace their people and start to get it right, and when they do that, and get decent signage on the highway, this hotel will be a real gem, and will get a rating of 4 or 5 instead of 3.

Room Tip: There is a Pizza Hut across the street. This is a useful landmark and GPS target when looking for th...

My sister and I stayed here with our parents over the 4th of July weekend. Great location for going through the hill country. Close to Dripping Springs, Hamilton Pool, Fredericksburg, etc. The staff is very friendly, hotel is clean, and has a great breakfast. Only hiccup is that it isn't marked well at all and if you blink you will miss it. It would be brutal at night except they have rope lights lining the entrance driveway. GENIUS! Will definitely stay here again.

We traveled to Austin for the first time to visit our son. Choosing a downtown hotel was our intent, but being late to plan the trip we decided on this out of the way Hampton Inn in Oak Hill. What a pleasant stay. The rooms were attractive and the whole facility was spotless.

Room Tip: Go to Jack Allen's for dinner, about a mile from this hotel.

Stayed 2 nights. This hotel is fairly new. Bed slept wonderful. Room was clean. Hot breakfast was much better than the usual hotel breakfast fare. Very quiet, which is major for me since I'm a light sleeper. Staff was very polite and helpful. It is difficult to locate. It is behind trees & the city won't allow them to put out a big sign due to the ongoing road construction. There is a small sign just above the ground at the start of their driveway. At night, they have white rope lights along the driveway to help you locate their hotel. Great stay!

We stayed only one night - we will be back! The room was super clean - bed was awesome - so comfy! We were very impressed with the speedy check in - we arrived near 10 PM - dawg tired - and within minutes we were on the way to a wonderful sleep!

Breakfast area was well maintained - the scrambled eggs were dry, but everything else just fine. Great coffee - fresh whole fruit and make your own waffles! Love em!

Highly Recommended place!

This is a brand new Hampton Inn opened apparently in February. It still has a "new-room smell" which is the outgassing from carpet and other materials which should fully dissipate over time; the odor is of medium strength right now, and may have been the cause of my children's partial nasal stuffiness over night. The interior design of the room and common areas is very trendy and appealing. It was totally unexpected when we opened the sleeper-sofa for our fifteen-year-old and she shrieked at seeing a live roach run out (which, with shoes in hand, we successfully hunted down); our eleven-year old daughter subsequently found a 1/2" spider under the lavatory. Hopefully, this hotel does not have more instances of this problem and will be able to ramp up their housekeeping because, otherwise, it would be an excellent experience.

My experience in this hotel was magnificent. They had fresh coffee 24 hours and fresh cookies at time of check in. They know how to value a customer. They also gave me my AAA discount without me even asking for it. The front desk employees was great.

Room Tip: Stay here if you are in town.
