There doesn't seem to be a lack of amazing places to eat in Austin, but this is one place that I would recommend to anyone as one of the places that you must eat at, and if you only can go to one place in Austin during your visit, this should be on the short list. The food was simply amazing, with an incredible menu selection. The food is touted as being a fresh, local to table type of experience. I won't deny that it is on the pricier side, but it was worth it. The drink and wine list were adequate, with a good selection of local brews as well. The chef's choice changes frequently, depending on what local goods are available. I opted for the Chef's choice of vegetables entree, and my party split an appetizer of the deviled eggs. The vegetables were perfect, with an incredible mix of flavors (orange hints, warm vanilla green beans, etc). My party was also amazed with their choices (one raved that the beef shoulder was the best he ever had). For desert, the bananas foster beignets was so good it should probably be illegal. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was a nice mix of relaxed and slightly upscale with a nice outdoor dining option as well. This was the best meal I had during my visit to Austin.
