I would have not known about this spot if a friend did not take me there.

You wont find it online as an Austin's attraction. However, There is a 360 lookout by the bridge that you can view the whole lake from. It is 5 mins upward inclined hike to look over the bride and the river(Lake Austin). You can search in google maps 360 lookout lake austin/pennybacker bridge and it'll take you to the location.

Parking is on the side of the road on the gravel. Pretty easy to find.

Well, Im not sure what to say about a bridge, but I guess as far as bridges go.........this one is pretty nice. Its definitely an Austin hot spot. Great for a short hike and a great view. Works really well for family photos or photos for any occasion.

Definitely should check it out if you are in town and looking for something to do that not many visitors have done.

This hike was amazing! One word of caution though: safety. There is no side rail there, so if you have young kids, they need to be careful.
It's breathtaking up there. The hike is short, maybe about 10".

After 1982, that is. Before then, the road ended (abruptly) at the water. A true landmark. Form and function. Everybody here knows it. And, pretty much everybody uses it. Thanks, Percy.

Just gorgeous bridge with waterway views. There is a 5 minute hike that gives you the best vantage point.
