Whether you're a foodie, an antiques hunter, or a people watcher, SoCo has something for you! Food trucks, junk shops, boutiques, and scads of fabulous Austinites and out-of-towners wandering around and taking it all in. You can't go wrong on SoCo.

Several fun, offbeat shops like Lucy in Disguise and Uncommon. Plenty of food trucks. Several restaurants, but expect a long wait to eat on Sat afternoons, as this is a popular area.

Went to Soco last night to go to the Continental Club for a real country experience. Enjoyed burgers and fries at the Hopdoddys. Good times. And shopped around today. Nice, low-rise area w enough shops for a few hours of amusement. Loved one of the big antique stores. Could've spent all day there. En ally enjoyed Snackbar for a healthy lunch.

It would be easy for a visitor to Austin to wonder what's so "weird" about the city if s/he didn't stop in at SoCo. The collection of boutiques, "junk" shops, local restaurants, and trailers here is unique.

You can grab a high-end meal at Perla's, get a slice of the best pizza in Austin at Home Slice, or graze the food trailer court. (Do not miss the cupcakes at Hey, Cupcake! If you're not hungry, ask for one to go.)

Offerings in the shops range from fashionable clothing to cowboy boots to Austin souvenirs and oddball knick-knacks.

SoCo is only two or three blocks, so you can cover it in two hours or an afternoon. But DO cover it!

Lots of shops, foodstops, vintage, "Common Objects" antiquities mini-mall, but nothing here very "high end." Maybe we missed something?
