If you love beef ribs, this is the place to go! The full rack is a tremendous amount of food but way to good to stop eating!

“Teaxs BBQ & Beauty”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

We had a sampling of Brisket, Sausage, Chicken and Baby Back Ribs along with the standard sides of English Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and Pinto Beans AND 1/2 loaf of the wheat bread. Every one of the meats were DELICIOUS. Truly outstanding, I have eaten BBQ since I was 2 and alll over the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS and Kansas City & environs. This is dang fine BBQ, the ribs were a special hit. Meaty and delicious with a sauce that is a cross between the sweet KC style and the traditional TEXAS style BBQ sauce. The sides were decent and good eatin', BUT THE BREAD!, WOW!!....GIT SUM!...If you put a slice on your head, your tounge would beat your brains out trying to get to it. Decent efficient service for a busy place. THE HUGE BONUS of the "by the Lake" location on RM2222 is the backyard. Out back with multiple decks and grassy tree covered lawns is THE COLORADO RIVER! After dinner we took our drinks outside to listen to the live music and feed the turtles and ducks. This is the beauty of the location. A perfect summer evening.

“Fun atmosphere for Out of town visitor”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

The restaurant looks and feels like a BBQ! The decks on the back next to the river are great for a drink or two while you wait for your table. Hang out and listen to the live band. Have a tito strawberry lemonade.
I had the pulled pork, brisket and we got a loaf of wheat bread to start. The food was delish and definitely what I was wanted while in Texas.
