Wow! Met a friend for a birthday. I live 2 hours away, yet cannot come to Austin without stopping here. I recommend for lunch: spinach salad, empanadas, chimichurri sauce. For dinner: shepherd's pie, gnocchi, or crepes. Do not leave without trying the chocolate creme brûlée (ancho chili!!!).

Great authentic Argentinian food. came for lunch. The beef Lomito was great! Tender and flavorful. Pastry chef is a 5th generation pastry chef. The Pionono is on my radar for dessert.

I used to live down the street from this place and it was my absolute favorite place to eat in town. I had a great experience in Dec 2011-- the food was spectacular, service was great, etc. Then I went back in April 2012 and I swear this place could be on Restaurant Impossible. We had to wait 15 min to even talk to the waiter, and this was right when they opened for dinner, so there were a lot of empty seats. That seemed to be the theme for the night... empty wine glasses and stacked up dirty plates. The food was nothing like it normally is..just blah. For the $50+ I spent per person, I could have gotten much more for my $ than Buenos Aires. Sadly I don't think I'll be back.

Quiet intimate atmosphere with great service. To our surprise, the cafe was not crowded for lunch. even though the town was insanely crowded with SXSW. Sandwiches and empeñadas were fine. Don't skimp on the chimichurri sauce. Beer and cheese soup was delicious. Well, it's Texas, what do you expect! Wide selection of delectable desserts, with my favorite ingredient dulce de leche. Altogether a very nice experience.
