“Hoppin' vibe in the beer garden”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

It was a beautiful night and I went here on the recommendation of a friend. She said - the pastrami is wonderful. They have a bunch of micros brews on tap and a menu that looks great. I had an oatmeal stout, a pastrami sandwich, and grilled broccoli. It was all good. The beer garden is a bunch of large picnic tables under and awning (also had the heaters running). It was a friendly, raucous environment. The waiter helped me figure out what on the menu would appeal to me. I'd definitely take friends to this place. I got an almond croissant to eat on the way home. It was a little on the done side, but the flaky richness hit the spot.

What more do you want? The pastries, coffee, pastrami sandwich, olive bread, pretzels and beer are all great! I went there several times!

“Fun, tasty (and with great vegetarian options!)”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Beer cheese, homemade pretzels, tasty sausages, and nearly 30 beers on tap -- this place has something for everyone. And, I realize that most people don't come to Texas looking for vegetarian fare, but this is Austin, so if you are vegetarian, you are in luck here! Vegetarian sausage on a pretzel bun with a side of grilled broccoli - divine. Also sampled was the roast beef sandwich with pungent horseradish/sour cream dressing, and the German easy board with cheese, potato salad, sauerkraut, pretzel and sausages. We didn't get any of the bread or pastries, but they look fantastic. There's a nice outdoor patio (with heaters) and a couple of ping pong tables. Small stage too, so must be a nice place for music in the evening.

“Good and Unique food”

Loved the beer cheese, pretzels and house made sausage on a pretzel roll. Prices are reasonable for the area.

“Great for breakfast!”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

My friend and I stopped by here for breakfast of pastries (you have to try the tiger claw - it's amazing) and iced coffee. We sat out back, which was nice and peaceful. I wish we could have gone back in the evening - it looked like the perfect setting for live music.
