“Electric Bikes”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

We have never been to Austin before so when we saw these, we thought it would be a great way to discover Austin. The bikes were a perfect way to do so, but what really helped us was the lady and her husband run the store. I dont know their names but they were AWESOME! She mapped out everything for us and gave us suggestions on places to eat. The best part about it was everything she suggested was just as amazing as she said it would be. From taco trucks, to a small gelato place and even a buffalo burger at a local spot. We are from Chicago so we know about pizza, but the Detroit style pizza place she suggested inside craft pride was comparable to our Chicago pizza just like she said it would be. My recommendation would be to rent these bikes and take every suggestion from the very nice lady who runs the front counter. She knows what she is talking about and it will be worth your trip!

“Austin Foodie Tour”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

The electric bike tour was fantastic. I wasn't sure if I'd like to use an electric bike, but it was a lot of fun. You can pedal when you'd like and use your throttle when you need a bit more oomph. It was an easy way to access many different neighborhoods throughout Austin, which is a fantastic city.

Elisha was a superb guide. She was very friendly, welcoming and enjoyable to be around. It is apparent that she loves her job, Austin and meeting new people.

“Food, friends, and bikes--what's not to love?”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

My friends and I took a private foodie tour with Elisha. We were an eclectic mix of paleo, vegetarian,GF, and everyday eaters, but that was no challenge for Austin's eateries. Each of our four stops hit the mark with food and libations (and some excellent live music and jukeboxes, too). You might be saying, sure, but I could experience that myself. That's where Elisha's warmth comes in. We really met a new friend for the day. Plus, HAVE I MENTIONED THE BIKES?! So fun! You just crank the throttle and zip up the hills (whilst pedaling backwards if you really want to show off). This is from someone who really enjoys ordinary biking the hard way. Finally, the owners of Rocket Electrics are amazing. I think they kept the place open an extra hour because we were taking our time at each stop. They also offered to give one of us a ride home if a cab big enough for our whole group didn't turn up. Above and beyond!

“Experience Austin on an Electric bike”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

What is there to do in Austin? What can a visitor or newcomer do to understand what Austin is all about? It is a difficult question because Austin is more of an experience than a physical place. I think renting bikes at Rocket Electrics is an awesome way to “experience” Austin. I have now rented them twice. We go for the day. Our itinerary
usually includes Hike and Bike trail around Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Park, coffee at Austin Java, and South Congress for lunch and walk around shopping. Biking around Austin is easy and you go slow enough to really enjoy the outdoors and the people.

The folks at Rocket Electrics are super nice. Their enthusiasm for what they do is contagious. Hint: make reservations and be ready to have fun.

“One of a Kind Bike Tour!”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

I highly recommend the Live Music Capital of the World Tour. My partner and I took the tour while visiting Austin for the Memorial Day weekend and it was definitely the perfect way to get a taste of downtown Austin and learn about its music history.

Nicole's warm personality made sure to answer all of our questions when we booked the tour and when we asked for recommendations for top music venues in the city, she provided us with very detailed local picks across all flavors.

Johnny and Ricky were outstanding guides and their immense music history knowledge of the city really makes the tour a one of a kind feature. I have a much greater appreciation for guitar masters Stevie Ray Vaughn and an even greater respect for city's emerging artists (including Johnny and Ricky).

The real treat was at the end of the tour, Johnny, his wife (The Staylyns) and Ricky Stein performed a roof top mini concert of their hit songs for us. Listening to them play against a gorgeous backdrop of the city's sunset skyline while watching UT Austin's crew team row below us on Lady Bird Lake was an experience like no other.

Oh, by the way, the electric bikes also provided a nifty and relaxing way to zoom about the city.

Rocket On!
