Austin is a wonderful place. It's not much of a sports town other than their true affection for the Longhorns so that must be enough. We didn't take our golf clubs but I wish I had. The attraction we had fun experiencing was an area downtown. It was filled with nice comfortable restaurants and Pubs. I believe they refer to it as 6th street. ...Our Hotel was affordable, comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay there again.

Room Tip: Be advised the pool is indoors

Too bad you didn't bring your golf clubs. There are so many great coarses to play in Austin. Make it a point to come back for a golf week and you can still enjoy downtown which is only 15 minutes away.

A pleasant, clean place to stay. I appreciated the quiet location and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

The Hilton Garden Inn Northwest in Austin's Arboretum area is conveniently located on 183. The rooms are exactly what one would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn and offer all the comfort and amenities that make a stay here pretty nice. The breakfast buffet is good and offers a nice selection of hot and cold items. The staff is friendly and helpful.

One of the comments we receive the most is how convenient our hotel is to everything. Downtown, hill country, University of Texas, Lake Travis are all just a few minutes away and there is great shopping just around the corner at The Domain. I so glad you enjoyed your stay.
Thanks,
Joe

We were greeted by a professional and caring staff. The property is centrally located in the north western Austin area. We enjoyed shopping and eating in the nearby Arboretum. Our room was very clean and appeared to be updated recently. Our room package included a cooked to order breakfast that is also very good. Our children enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub.

I'm so glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay. As you stated we are convenient to a lot of great food and great shopping. A lot of families really enjoy staying here especially for the indoor pool and hot tub. See you next time.
Thanks,
Joe

It was a birthday trip for someone and 4 of us decided to go to Austin and celebrate. We choose this hotel because of prior reviews and affordability. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights each thru hotels.com. We even told the hotels.com agent to make a note that we would be arriving around 4 am Saturday morning. They noted that in our reservation. When we arrived at the hotel at 4:15 AM Saturday morning they said that they counted us as no shows and and said that our rooms are still available and that they would fix it in the morning and gave us our keys. Well 1 of the rooms was occupied so we went downstairs to get another key. The front desk agent was trying to figure out which rooms were available and which are occupied. He gave us a key to another room which turned out to be occupied. And another. So we have gone to 3 different rooms that showed available in the front desk system but not actually available. Finnaly he asked us if 4 of us would go into the 1 room that we knew was available and wait for him to figure it out. At this point it was already 6 am. I called hotels.com and had them transfer our reservation to another hotel but that wasn't available till noon on Saturday. So 4 of us had to sleep in 1 room that had a total of 1 bed. We took turns on who would sleep and who would be awake. Completely dissatisfied with this property.
