This is only the second Country Inn & Suite that I have stayed in. The first one was great. I usually prefer Residence Inn. The hotel needs a little maintenance. The carpet in the hallway dirty and appeared worn. A good vacuuming would have helped. The control panel in the elevator was loose and open. The room was large and comfortable and clean. I really have no complaint about the room. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was okay with eggs, sausage, potatoes and the usual breads, rolls and cereals. They do have the make your own waffles! This is a non-smoking hotel as I believe all Austin hotels are. I don't smoke and appreciate the non-smoking atmosphere. However, I found a glass ashtray in my room on the countertop. It tells me that the hotel's management personnel aren't overly concerned about the smoking issue. Overall it wasn't bad. I paid $69 for a king suite.
