Small plates with a lot of taste. We shared several plates among our party of 7. The food was creative with a lot of flavor. Hostess and servers were very nice.

This new resturant tied with Congress for the best new resturant in Austin for 2011. The food was terrific as was the service. No reservations, arrive early or be prepared to wait.

Absolutely perfect. Chef Bryce Gilmore was just named one of the best new chefs in 2011, and I see why. This restaurant is his ode to pork and beer. It is a very small place, and we shared tables with other people, almost family style seating. Luckily we got there at 6:30 and were the last to be seated without a wait. From the 7 plates we ordered, the pork belly and sweetbread/foie gras plates were the stars. They were phenomenal. The duck, wagyu ribeye, and grilled beef tongue would be the next tier of dishes, and the corn fried okra, ricotta frittata being the weakest dishes, although still quite good. They just didn't live up to the awesomeness of the pork dishes. I had the Live Oak Stout with dinner, and that is quite the beer. Nice and big.

expect communal seating, which can be fun, depending on the level of drunkenness of both your party and the party with whom they seat you. try the specials, share.
