There are too many better options in the city garaj mahal. Except for byob and an interesting atmosphere , this place has nothing to offer. The food is very disappointing .

food: delicious. atmosphere: great. service: outstanding....which might have been because the owner, Sidney, took care of me. It's a gem of a location off Rainey St and everything was wonderfully tasty. Give the "beignets" a try - powedered sugar and cardamon on friend naan? yum!!

This was our first place in Austin and was perfect to get imersed in the local culture.
This is BYOB so BYOB or you will have to run across the street to clive and strugle in line to buy a bottle.
Food was very good and the atmosphere so cool. Worth going!!!!

Food-trucky food in a more permanent location. The food was fantastic, though not as spicy as what I expected. I've come to the conclusion that what passes for spicy in Austin is not what we consider spicy. Nevertheless, the food was delicious! The service is wonderful. And there's just something naughty about eating in a tent outside and drinking good wine from a plastic cup! You can bring your own wine (& beer). There's no corkage fee, either. We'd seen this restaurant profiled on "Eat Street" a couple of days before we came to Austin, so put it on our to-do list. It was worth it.

Great food (superb rice pudding), laid-back atmosphere...tents, no reservations needed, gravel, trailer kitchen, paper plates, waiters with tattoos, next to a garage - you get the idea. A neighborhood, low cost, good quality eatery. Nice people, and good service.
