Description: Come visit and experience the true feel of Ireland and the "Craic"(Fellowship and Fun) of your own local Irish Pub, in the heart of Austin's 6th Street Entertainment District. B.D. Riley's is not part of some national chain-for almost 15 years we've been a locally-owned, friendly, neighborhood pub restaurant serving a wide variety of award-winning foods, perfect pints of your favorite brews, great live music and the kind of crowd that always ensures a good time. C'mon in to the pub-make some new friends! If you are looking for a pub to call your own, look no further. The "formula" is pretty simple: serve good food and perfect pints in a traditional pub environment with a friendly staff, and season the mix with a healthy measure of cool live music featuring exclusively local Austin Artists. The result is a classic, classy neighborhood Pub. It's your own little patch of Irish comfort-on 6th Street! We'd really like to be your local pub on 6th Street. The Pub itself is a showplace (and our history is impressive). Every day is a good day to visit-we're open 365 days a year. Our Calendar always has the latest news and events, like televised sports, our prize-filled Pub Quiz trivia night, Live Music 7 nights a week with no cover charge, including each Wednesday after Trivia, a Sunday Irish Tune Session, and much more. Check out the additional pages linked above to learn more about the Pub, take a "tour," view our offerings, and learn about upcoming activities

“little bit of home”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

This is the most authentic "pub" ive ever been in outside the UK and Ireland,The atmosphere was brilliant, the Smithwick bitter as good or better than many pubs at home, and the fish and chips excelled, better than home in Yorkshire. The staff were brilliant and we nearly won the pub quiz(20 th).Great pub, highly recommended.

Glad you "discovered" us on your walk down Historic 6th Street.
We take great pride in our kitchen offerings and the staff that prepares them.
14 years ago, when the Pub was being constructed in Dublin, I traveled the countryside with the Guinness Representative, "borrowing" some of the best recipes we could find for our menu.
Encouraging words such as yours remind me that it was worth the added effort.
Slainte,......and come back when you can!

“Best place on 6th”
Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

Good food, clean and stocked bathrooms (which is hard to find in this part of town). Not as loud as other places, friendly staff.

“Mixed Experience”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

Decent enough Irish bar in Austin offering a good selection of beers and decent Guinness which is hard to find in the states. We passed through here during SXSW and while I appreciate this is a very busy time, the waitress working the tables at the front of the bar was on of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune to be served by. We later moved to a table at the back of the bar where the service was excellent. Still left a sour taste. Wouldn't return.

Sorry to hear of your disappointing experience at the Pub. We are accustomed to being busy, so that is no excuse for rudeness. Rest assured we have discussed the issue with staff, and hopefully learned form your bad experience.
Thanks for taking time to report the issue.

“Really nice Irish Pub...”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

There are a few pubs in this area, but this one has more room to "relax", has a sports bar atmosphere with multiple TVs and has some nice window seats to watch the street outside.
