The burgers are not extraordinary but they are pretty good (try the '78704', yum!). This is a great place to go with your kids as they also have a fenced in play structure with tables surrounding it. You can enjoy your burger while your kids have fun. There are lots of kids so expect it to be noisy! The service is friendly and pretty fast. The area is clean. There is also Amy's Ice-cream right next to it.

I think this is the best hamburger I've ever had! This is a very causal dining experience. I got the basic burger served with a mixture of sweet potato and regular fries. The burger is served on a sour dough hamburger bun. Even though I was full; I could not stop eating it. There are lots of burger options to choose from including fish and chicken sandwiches. Lots of seating inside and out and a big climbing structure for the kids to play on. They also serve "Amy's Ice cream"--but we were to full to try the ice cream. The staff is very friendly and helpful and ready to answer any questions about the food.

There are dozens of places to get a burger in Austin, and Phil's is squarely in the middle of the pack. It isn't as expensive as Hop Doddy's, but it's not nearly as good, either. There are so many places exactly like this, at around the same price. I prefer the taste of P. Terry's and Mighty Fine over Phil's.

My wife and I both had the Violet Crown and there was one tiny piece of onion on it, and the jalapeno bun was so overpowering I could not taste the bleu cheese. The onion rings were very good. My wife said the fries were "OK".

The main appeal is the outdoor playground they have for the kids. This was apparent from the dozen or so soccer moms out on the patio. It is a very nice outdoor patio area for the family. However, the convenience of the playground, to me, did not outweigh the overpriced food with just average quality.

I enjoyed the 78709 hamburger plate. It was great. This place was BUSY which is a strong indication of how good the food is. Try it, you'll like it.

Liked the food and loved the half sweet potato/half regular french fries! The playscape is covered in the shade with places to eat around it and watch the kids. After you are done, just go and get Amy's ice cream since they are in the same building! Enjoyed eating and meeting friends and hope to do it again!
