“Great food - great place.”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

The food was original and very tasty. It's a great place - went with two folks, we all loved the food. Lots of vegetable options without feeling too 'healthy'. The tastes were interesting and fun and all without feeling like we'd eaten a bunch of junk! Definitely heading back next time I'm in Austin!

“Not impressed”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

Stopped for some drinks, which were ok, the white & red sangria was not a good experiment. Music sucked.

“Great Restaurant”
Reviewed April 27, 2014

While we were in Austin we happen to come across this restaurant. Great food, nice and healthy meals. They have a lot of gluten free options! The staff are all very friendly and gave us some great tips as to what to do while we were visiting. It is a place to eat while visiting the stores on South Congress!

“So Austin......Great Patio Brunch!”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

We had a group of 6 which included 2 children and we enjoyed a delicious brunch on the patio. Oldies from the 60's were playing which set a great mood. This area of SOCO (South Congress) is teeming with funky places to eat and drink and The Snack Bar is up there with the best of them. Wonderful menu of fresh local and organic fare.
Our table had french toast, migas, and the ABLT (avocado BLT). I tried the award winning Tamago Yoko which was composed of shrimp, bacon, cabbage & leek hashcake, two over- medium eggs with wasabi aioli, sriracha, bonito, nori. What an amazing blend of flavors! Quite a large plate for only $11. Great coffees, juices and desserts as well.
Our table shared the flash-fried brussels sprouts with herb aioli. We all couldn't get enough of these--even the kiddos!
Fun and friendly staff as well. We sat outside on the patio and watched the action on SOCO. There is seating and a snack bar inside.
Don't miss this little slice of Austin!
