We had lunch: the hemp burger and the migas. The place was full, do we sat at the counter. The server was amazingly attentive and quite a multitasker in a very busy place.

The beer selection was very good and we has a local black lager.

Both entrees were excellent. The migas was the better of the two.

The best came last. A dessert that is called "hot chocolate." It comes in a mug and looks like a drink. But under the foam is dark chocolate mousse and dense chocolate cake. It had a spicy kick too. Don't miss it!

This is a great place for happy hour and snacks-- I really enjoy all of their drinks made with Sake and they have local beer on tap. Also, try the Brussel Sprouts... will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

On a spur of the moment stop, we happened upon the Snack Bar. I need to eat as gluten free as possible. This place had wonderful options! Not only was there unique gluten free plates, what I had was wonderful. I talked about the gluten free onion bread all day!

While visiting Austin last month, we looked for a nice place to just relax for lunch and we found just the place in The Snack Bar. The place has the best vibe, fun and quirky, with really good food that even my very picky 2 year old loved. We sat outside and had a great time people watching while we waited for our food to arrive. We really will go back when we are back in Austin.

Breakfast here was very good, but the coffee was the standout. Very smooth with absolutely no after taste. The eggs were very fluffy and the french toast was good, but wasn't really toasted, more bread like in the middle. I know it's bread, it just had dry bread consistency in the middle. Good flavor.
