Owner description: Scenic trail through lush green parks and peaceful lakes: a great place to bike, hike and run.

The trail is beautiful situated by the lake.
On a sunny day people take a walk, walk their dogs , or jogging.
Personally, I like kayaking , there are a couple of kayak rental services in the area.

I had never visited this trail until this most recent Austin trip. It was a great walk because you see quite a bit of Austin, quite a bit of nature, and some fun dog parks.

Went running and hiking here in December and it is surely busy. I can't imagine how busy it will be in the summer and when all of the condos and apartments will be filled?

This is a wonderful example of an urban oasis. You can walk/bike for hours (even canoe and kayak) without being very far from the pulse of the Austin Downtown or some of the communities surrounding it. My husband and I walked the trails for a couple of hours, took a short bus ride to "Soco" and then walked the trail back into town. What a wonderful afternoon...mostly spent on the banks of the Colorado (Lady Bird Lake).

We go to Austin every summer and my husband and 4 girls love to go to the lake and explore both on and off the trail!
