“Great way to see classic Austin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

If you love to walk, with or without your dogs, or bike, and people watch, this is the place to go. You can go a short way or all the way around the lake if you like. Best times to go are early fall and spring as there is lots of shade and the weather is bearable.

“Outdoors in Austin”

I always travel to Austin and stay close to Town Lake. The people who are out on the weekends are so interesting and the lake is a great place to walk and jog.

“One of the nicest hike and bike's in the US.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

If you come to Austin, don't miss Town Lake trail. It is hard to believe that you are in the middle of a big city. I ride the full loop on my bike every afternoon. It is amazing to how much money the city spends to maintain this trail. There are many problems in Austin but there always seems to be money and resources to keep this trail in pristine condition. They are even under construction for in the water bridges that will complete the trail in portions where private land owners wouldn't let the city run the trail through their land.... Unbelievable. If you live in central Austin you should definitely take advantage of this great resource.

“Gorgeous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

Amazing and very popular running/bike trail on either side of Lady Bird Lake. The lake itself is a beautiful natural spring with turquoise water (a lot like Florida Springs). Lots of kayaking and paddling takes place all day. Highly recommended. If I'm back in Texas again, I will be coming back here for sure!
