Owner description: Street lined with lots of great restaurants.

Although there were some really unique shops (Uncommon Rabbit, Tesoro) which were really interesting to browse through, much of the fare in the shops catered to the tourist with money, not the average person. There were several tented areas selling a variety of jewelry, plants, books, clothing. Since we were there about 4 hours before a Longhorn game (which means wall-to-wall people), I'm not sure if the tents are an every weekend thing or just for home games.

Ah, to be twenty something, goodlooking, and hang out on South Congress, drinking cocktails, flirting and not really worrying too much about the food that ends up on your table two hours later...

Great shopping–vintage, antique, unique, the iconic Allen Boots–more delicious food trucks than you can shake a stick at, and restaurants, too! I was in Austin for just under a day, and this is where my partner and I tooled around and had the best time. Very hip, unique and the essence of cool. Check it out, no doubt!

Quite possibly one of the coolest places in America. Great food trucks and the Continental Club make for an awesome experience while in Austin.

Great unique stores on Congress Avenue. Lots of activity during the day or night. Food trucks are awesome and coffee at Jo's was fun.
