Sunday brunch buffet was AWESOME.. My husband and I really enjoyed the food here, so many items to choose from and not one disappointment. $3.50 pomegranate sangria what a bargain!!!! If we are ever in Austin again we will be back...

“Amazing local food that is absolutely delicious”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Jack Allens is a staple in our diet. Love the incredible food, beers and local touches (they have a selection of pickled items and make them our own hot sauces).

A great place to bring out of towners and local friends alike.

“Great!”
Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

Our group had 2 kids (6 & 9), 1 adult (late 30's) and 2 geezers. The kids had and enjoyed macaroni and cheese, the rest of us had guacamole and chips, soup, grilled salmon and steak tacos. Everything was good. The soup was too spicy for one of the geezers. The waitress took it away without question and deducted it from the bill. The service was very efficient and friendly. Not only do we recommend Jack's, we will be back!

“Never disappointed, but a little pricey.”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

I've never been to Jack Allen's and left disappointed. The food is good, and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The wait can be long, especially during peak times (weekday lunch, any time on weekends). Parking can be difficult as well.

They also focus on 'natural' foods, but do not mistake this for healthy - most are pretty heavy and very filling.

I consider the average price to be inline with competitors serving 'wholesome' foods, which is higher than a typical restaurant, or at least you may not get as much food.

“Yum!!! Definitely go!!”
Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

We went based on the reviews on trip advisor and we are so happy we did! There was about an hour wait on Friday night at 7:00, which was well expected. We were able to grab a hightop table by the bar during the wait, which was perfect with the kids. We got some wine, got the kids some juice and an order of the crab dip. That was the best crab dip we have ever had and it was a great start to an awesome meal. Our 2 1/2 yr old son, and 5 year old daughter nearly ate the entire dip!! We sat outside and it was perfect! My husband and I both ordered the special of the peppercorn beef tenderloin, and both could be cut with a fork, that's how tender they were, delicious! We ordered the kids the chicken fried chicken adult dinner to share, and they split it in the kitchen for us which we weren't expecting! The kids loved it, and so did we, we had to taste it :). The service was fantastic, the food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great! Definitely check it out!!
