I have seen some great live music at Gueros out door bar, so my expectations were a little high when going to the restaurant. My s/o and I were very dissapointed.
To start, Upon entrance and exit we were never greeted.
Good margaritas and pretty decent chips and salsa. Queso tasted like movie theatre nacho cheese.
Our server was quite occupied talking to her fellow coworkers through out our entire meal, and I watched her gab with her friends for five minutes while I obviously needed a refill.
I got tacos al pastor. Decent pork but it wasn't cooked with the pineapples so they didn't go well together. Side dish of rice tasted bland, and beans too watery. Girlfriend got enchiladas and they were just terribly undercooked.
All in all it is way overpriced for what you get. The out door oak beer garden is a great place to hear some live music, but there is much better mexican food in Austin for a better price.
