Forced my 10-year-old to visit with me but he wasn't the slightest bit bored. Lots of great interactive exhibits and colorful groovy history.

The whole concept of Presidential libraries is getting a bit old--in general, but, at least, this one is located in a beautiful building. The architecture has stood up well.

The layout is very good and many of the displays are good. However, some of them are really out of date and tired. Granted, the displays have to be "of the period" but they can be up to date in how they look from the outside in!

We have been to a number of the Presidential libraries, and we can say much the same thing. The concept needs to be updated and made more relevant for where we are today. The emphasis is on "making the man look good" and not on the lessons we can learn from their good and poor decisions. It is important for you to know why you are going to the museum--it may or may not fit your expectations. This one does not work for us.

From the presidential limo to his desk and seeing him in action on the big screen, you learn that this former Senator turned President during turbulent times was a true Texan and bigger than life. Definitely worth a visit while in Austin

This is a Texas gem, a must see if you are in Austin. Democrats and republicans will marvel over the history, books and artifacts. Parking is not good....at all. This is a small venue so take your time.

I lived through the 60's, to revisit them at the LBJ Library was a joy. The LBJ Library is exceptional. It is a beautiful space and highly detailed and interactive. I especially enjoyed the "Please hold for the President..." part of many of the displays; to hear t g e actual tapes of conversations was incredible. To read Jaqueline Kennedy's letter, see LBJ's cowboy boots, and the presidential limo- it was incredible! Well done!
