“It's good everytime”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

So, I've been visiting this place since the year it opened. LBJ was our president during a very interesting time during our history. It's fascinating to take the time to read everything there is about his presidency. It's also the time I was growing up, so there is a lot of nostalgia tied to the things I see. Two things that always stick in my mind from that first visit was moon rocks and a sword. They weren't on display last time I was there, but that's OK, I've got them locked in my memory.

“Excellent facility and presentation”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

It may be a reflection of our age and the fact that we remember the LBJ era very well, but this was an outstanding place to visit and to be reminded of that point in time. The displays were well done, and the various videos augmented things well. A temporary exhibit of press photography was excellent.

“So Interesting”

So much information about this former president and others in this great museum. We were there for over 3.5 hours and we are not museum people.

“A great museum on the campus of the UT for a great President”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

When you visit the campus of the University of Texas at Austin, one needs to visit the LBJ Presidential Library.

A great piece of Americana. My favorites of the museum was the mock up of the Oval Office, the Presidential Papers and talking cowboy rancher LBJ.

As expected there was ample acknowledgement of LBJ's domestic legislative achievements (see the Presidential Pens), and solemn recognition of the Vietnam War.

“Nerds love presidential libraries”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Despite the fact that the building is HUGE from the outside, there are only three levels of exhibits to tackle. Interesting perspective on the late 1960s. Worth the time.
