It was so fun, captain Chris was so interactive and fun. I would recommend coming here if you are in Austin! Make sure to make a reservation so they can secure your spot on the boat!
Super entertaining laughed the whole ride. Take a cap if your riding on top and drinks. And be sure to look for bats!
I really enjoyed our journey with this agency. They are really professional, great service, and sharp times. The guide guy was funny
First things first, parking is terrible in that area! You might luck out and find a spot in the Vic Mathias lot that they mention, but don't count on it, especially on the weekend. After a lot of driving around and wondering why the public parking garage was closed, I found street parking about a 15 minute walk away. You need to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour so plan ahead.
All that being said, the cruise was super cool and the staff was really really nice. I went in October of 2020 and the staff all wore masks and they had plenty of hand sanitizer. They give you a bit of an architecture tour at the beginning since you're in the midst of some highrises, and the sunset on the lake makes for really pretty photo ops. The bats didn't want to come out early that evening so we missed the primo picture taking opportunity where the sky is still light behind them as they emerge, but the captain has a special red light so you can see them flying around under the bridge (it's red so the bats don't get blinded). The cruise is, in my opinion, totally worth it.
We took the Bat/Sunset Cruise and Captain Chris was great! He told us many facts about the great city of Austin and showed us all bats living under the Congress bridge. Highly recommend!
Captain Han Solo ... was the best part of the boat ride. He was very informative and great humor!!!!
