“Highest point in Austin”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

A lot of steps to climb and very steep but the view is spectacular, not recommended for someone with a breathing problem in the summer with the humidity. No restroom

“Very good view lots of steps”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

About all there is to this spot is a parking lot and 100 steps up the viewing patio , maybe some hiking. But, wow what a view! Town Lake spreads at your feet - you can see for miles and miles. Not recommended in summer except for early in the day. The steps may be quite difficult for those with physical challenges. Kids will be bored. Photographers will be pleased - take the wide angle lens.

“Best Sunset in Austin!”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

Mount Bonnell is beautiful during any time of the day, but especially at sunset. It is great for a romantic walk, but make sure you wear proper shoes because this is no place for heels, ladies! Keens or hiking shoes are more appropriate for the terrain here. Bring a camera to take some beautiful pics of the sunset! When you get to the top, definitely walk both right and left because you get a cool view from either side.

It is an amazing place where you can see several points of the city including the amazing riverside in one side and downtown on the other side.
