Beautiful setting with peaceful brook running through. The cemetery is an old favorite. Go to the southwest corner and find all the state politicians you can remember. Or tour the exhibit space which is well presented

“Cemeteries your thing? How about SHORT highways?”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

Yep, it's a cemetery. Graceful trees, historic figures, carved headstones and monuments - and it contains the shortest officially designated "State Highway" in Texas (SH 165) - also unusual in that it is a Highway with an internal loop back onto itself (not onto another street) and a "T" intersection where all 3 legs of the "T" are the same highway!

“A Don't Miss Spot in Austin”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

This is one of those places to visit when in Austin. The grounds are immaculate, and the views of Austin are outstanding. You can bike here, but stay on the paths. For anyone familiar with Texas history, wander the grounds to see the last resting places of people you've read about.
