This is one of the better attractions in Austin. While visiting we took a tour to see the building and learn some more about Texas history. The tour lasted around 40 minutes and covered most major parts of the building, events in Texas history, as well as important figures. The building is open to the public so it made it easy to wander around and check out everything at your own pace. We went on a Friday morning hoping it to be less crowded but the place was very busy with groups and employees without any legislative work being done, leading me to believe the easist way to avoid crowds is to go early in the week and early in the morning.
