“Botanical Gardens”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

The gardens have a little of everything -- Oriental, rose, herbs, lillies. Visited in March and it was still beautiful.

“Love Zilker Park!”
Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Before entering small strip of outdoor cafes, restaurants that still has the feel of old Austin. So much here, kite festival March 3rd which has been tradition in Austin since 1929!! Good playscapes, natural springs swimming pool, kayaking, pet friendly, free plays in summer, train ride, food with covered tables, botanical gardens, sculpture gardens, even area where they keep interesting animals by "dinosaur pit" and indoor nature center, cave like aquatic area by bathrooms and pool area. Lots to do and see! I really like the water area where you go down alot of steps, where people get in the water also. The feel of this park is very enjoyable!!!

“Good for kids”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

We didn't cover much of this park, but it is very accessible, easy parking and several areas to visit. There is a small sculpture garden if you want a short stroll (small admission fee). Large open spaces for frisbee, picnicing, sun-bathing, etc. The Science and Nature center is small, but good for little children-they have a number of animals that have been resuced and are kept there, being unable to re-introduce them into the wild. A short hiking trail, also.
