Remodeled cute hotel, updated rooms and amenities, lounge/bar on property nice bonus, relaxing pool/hot tub and courtyard. Enjoyed our stay, but wouldn't pay extra for a pool view again. Very convenient to downtown without the hustle and bustle and overpriced parking, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything about this freshly renovated hotel was a pleasant surprise and a cut above the usual chain hotel experience. I enjoyed the view of the lush courtyard/pool/spa area from the balcony of my quiet, comfortable guest room, and I appreciated the attention to design details evident throughout the property. Its contemporary elegance and soothing color scheme featured a few retro details that added to the delight of my stay. Loved it!

We stayed at this Best Western while visiting family in Austin. Found it on-line and since our stay was to be short we chose it purely for it's proximity to our family's home and weekend activities. This appears to be an older hotel with several "sections" connected by steps/ramps and elevator, but this was well thought through and would not be problematic for those with limited physical abilities. We were not sure how the rooms would be when we were walking down the hall. But, when we opened our door and stepped into our room, both of us were very pleased with the size and the quality of the room. The furnishings were well kept and comfortable. The room was extremely clean, and the bathroom was just like my bathroom at home. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming and competent staff and the well appointed and comfortable rooms. The morning breakfast offerings were tasty and of the right temperature and coffee was delicious! Check out was a breeze, and again the desk personnel were cheerful and got us on the road quickly. We told them that we would definitely stay here again next time we visit!

Wonderful! Glad you found us. We changed the hotel name after a major renovation late last year. Some GPS systems have not updated yet. We are working to get every site corrected.
We look forward to your next visit!

I stayed here in late July. It took me a while to find the hotel-- our GPS didn't recognize the address. Once you see it, though, it'll be easy to find again. It's right off of the interstate, near a Denny's and Starbucks.
The room was comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff was great.

We spent a weekend here in early August. The temperatures were soaring to 100 degrees during the day and dipped to 90 at night. Here at the Best Western Plus, everything was cool – on a number of levels. Our room (131) was on the first floor facing the pool (but no terrace or direct access) and was off the Interstate, so it was nice and quiet.

The King bedroom furnishings were modern and sleek; everything was clean and in good repair. We had a little sitting area and desk which was nice. Bathroom was stocked with fluffy towels. The pool area was nice with some trees for shade and had a raised deck with a hot tub.

The free breakfast had a number of basic hot and cold offerings: scrambled eggs, bacon, bagels, bread for toast, yogurt, cold cereals, and juices. There’s also a coffee bar in the lobby open 24 hours.

The staff were friendly and helpful and were very accommodating to us with a late check in and a late check out. In advance of check-in they were also able to accommodate our request for a room near the pool. (It never hurts to ask!)

The location is about a mile from the S. Congress area, but you should probably drive to get there. A cab is about $10.00. It’s a very convenient location if you want to enjoy Town Lake (Lady Bird Lake is the new name), Zilker Park, Barton Springs, or downtown. All are less than a 10 minute drive. Airport is about 15 minutes from here.

The only thing that was iffy was the little bar and grill connected to the front desk area. The venue is managed by a separate entity and the entertainment varies from night to night. The first night was a very loud urban DJ and the crowd appeared to be totally unrelated to the hotel guest clientele. The second night was a blues trio, which could not be heard from the lobby. Crowd was more of a mix of locals and hotel guests. This venue could be a real draw for hotel guests if they could get the musical talent right. We found this hotel to be a very good value and would stay here again.

Room Tip: You may want to avoid staying near the lobby as the noise from the bar/grill may spill over.
