I can't say enough great things about the customer experience I had at this hotel. The check in and check out with the front desk was not only seemless but the part that gives this 5 stars is the people. I am a diamond member and almost always stay at Embassy Suites Hilton properties because of the other amenities and services provided by Embassy properties and not with Hampton properties but this business trip was last minute and hotels were sold out. I randomly picked a Hilton property and I hit the jackpot with this hotel.
Whoever does the hiring at this hotel picks great employees.

The staff at this hotel is great. Courteous, friendly, always saying hello and sharing a smile.

The rooms have been updated and are overall pretty nice. I have stayed here twice in the last two weeks, and would come back again. I do wish for two things though ...

1. Replace bed pillows. There are terrible and were uncomfortable both trips, because all pillows were nothing but flat air. :-) They were fluffed nicely on the bed, but as soon as you put your head on them, they fade away and provide absolutely no support.

2. Find out why Hilton Internet does not work with a Kindle. I tried both times to access my tablet, but found out later there is something between the hotel Internet and the tablet software that doesn't align.

3. There were a lot of storm in the Austin area last night, and my room was on the top (6th) floor. So, I constantly heard water (rain) running somewhere.

The Arboretum area of Austin is about a 15 - 20 minute drive into downtown. Nice area, but a little further out than I had anticipated and the main source to the downtown area was a toll road. Other than that, this hotel provided the standard Hampton Inn room with breakfast in the morning.
