Stopped here for late afternoon slice and it was worth the stop! Slices were about $3 for available pies. The menu is extensive and creative pairing of toppings make us want to come back for Brie, Gorgonzola, jalapeños, and meat! A few tables inside so if its crowded take it to the street.

Great pizza, conveniently located.stopped in on my walk back to the hotel after leaving 6th street. I'm sure it absorbed some of the alcohol.

I'm a Jersey native who's been spoiled from many years of eating many pizzas in Jersey and NYC, where pizza like they serve at Hoboken Pie is pretty ordinary (which means good, but that's what you'd expect).

There are 3 truths about searching for pizza outside the NJ/NY area:
-Finding bad pizza is easy. Stop in any Domino's or Pizza Hut, both of which have ruined the very idea of pizza with their dry bready "crust" and sugary tomato sauce. Call it something else, but to call it pizza is just wrong.
-Finding mediocre pizza is harder, but can be done usually at places with Italian sounding names or that claim to be New York style.
-Finding excellent pizza like you can find in most pizzerias in Hoboken (New Jersey) or NYC, is almost unheard of.

Hoboken Pie serves slices and pies that are much, much better than mediocre, though still a notch or two below the best pizza you could find in the real Hoboken. Still, I am guessing that this is the closest any establishment in Texas will ever come to real pizza.

And don't get me wrong, they make really good pizza at Hoboken Pie. Just that if they opened up shop tomorrow on Washington Street in Hoboken, NJ, their pizza would be fine, but ordinary, compared to anything else within a one mile radius. Which for this Jersey native is pretty high praise.
