Really nice crowd of friendly people frequent this place and the musicians that stop by are fantastic. We saw three shows one night and were blown away by guitarist James Burton and friends showing up to play a gig during the car show. What an unbelievable treat! Their rendition of Haggard's Lonesome Fugitive still gives me goosebumps. Tons of fun and memories for what, a $20 cover charge. You can't beat this!

Continental club IS Austin. You can't go wrong with the live music that's lined up here. From country, bluegrass, soul, funk, and rock, there's always something good. The people are warm and friendly and the drink prices are Reasonable for the entertainment you get. There's also an upstairs bar called the gallery that has different bands and local artwork in a more intimate setting. A little Austin secret.

You go for the music, and it's wonderful. Limited seating so arrive very early. Crowded and not as comfortable as other venues but still a great time.

We are regulars here and went to see Toni Price during Happy Hour.

Beer's always cold and easy to get (unlike the Broken Spoke). The music is top-notch; Toni can belt it out.

We arrived early to get seats up front. Half way through the first short set, our view of the band was gone. They allow people to crowd the edge of the dance floor which blocks the view of all who arrived early to get good seats, waiting impatiently for the show to start.

Herein lies the other 2 problems with the management. The show was advertized to start at 6:30. It kicked off at 7:10. They played a 45-minute set, and then took a 35-minute break. They returned to a cold reception - absolutely no applause. Everyone was angry about the long break (when you pay a $7 cover, you expect more). Another excellent (but short) 45-minute set followed.

This outfit is poorly managed. The people standing in your way, the schedule problems and long breaks just scream, "We don't give a dang about payin' customers."

We love the music and always support the bands, but we don't appreciate being treated like this.
