This is an amazing experience to see the thousands of bats all flowing out from under the bradge at the same time. Since it is a popular event be sure to get there early to find parking.

First off GO SEE THIS! My husband wasn't so keen on going but I pursueded him to go and holy cow! They are amazing, you never really can imagine what it will be like until you see them fly out. We were waiting in the park area instead of on the bridge and we enjoyed that because some of the bats flew over us and we didn't have to worry about traffic. We were lucky and were able to here one of the tour boats give the speech about the bats so we got that for free too. But we will also be going back on the cruise for the experience. Call a local hotel to kinda get a general time when the bats will fly out. Please take the time and go!

OK, some of my family didn't want to go see this. I thought it was absolutely amazing and worth waiting for. The wait was fun to me. Like an anticipation. Never saw the bat man everyone talks about. The parking was easy to get in and out of just south of the bridge. The bats started at about 8:40 and just kept coming out for at least 15 to 20 minutes. I had to see it and so should you.

Bring a blanket and park yourself on the lawn under the bridge. You can park your car free at the newspaper parking lot and it's a short walk to a nice grassy area with a view of the river and bridge. There is also an informational board about the bats and there were a couple of vendors selling water and ice cream. The Bats come out at dusk and they just keep coming! We were amazed at how many there were. It was awesome.

We went to see the bats on a saturday night in June. We parked in a garage for $5 and walked over to the bridge. We got there about 7:45 and barely got a front row spot on the bridge rail. I would get there about 7:30 next time. It was a very beautiful view and windy and pleasant. The bats came out around 8:50. It was really neat and a must do. There were vendors selling drinks and ice cream if you wanted it.
