“Pretty amazing, a must see!”

I was just as amazed by this as I was by the grand canyon. If your in Austin make sure you head down to the bridge during sunset, its completely overwhelming.

“When they are active, this is a real sight!”
Reviewed November 2, 2011

I have witnessed the nightly flights on several occasions, and it is spectacular!

Watch around the top of the street lights and you will see the bats swoop in and devour countless mosquitoes and other insects.

It was interesting but at this time of year it was pretty dark when they exited the bridge.

“BATS, Bats and bats!!!”
Reviewed November 1, 2011

The Congress Avenue Bridge is an awesome vantage to view the nightly flight of the thousands of bats that make this bridge their home. Although the bats fly off just around dark it is possible to get a glimpse of these creatures from the bridge.

Free and worth the time. The bats are amazing and there are so many! This is as spectacular as Carlsbad with a different setting.

Get there early!
