“Delicious smoothies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

I only purchased a smoothie here because I was on the run and ran in for some Daiya (non dairy cheese which is a must if you haven't tried it!) The smoothie was great!

“a great place to eat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

We are frequent diners at WF. Great quality, right size serving, good price and a funky atmosphere. We enjoy this much more than a fancy restaurant, feel great afterwords and we spend $15 for a $15 bottle of wine- no restaurant mark up.

“The Mothership, worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

This is the Mothership of a nationwide chain of grocery stores specializing in healthy eating. It started out as a small store with big ideas 20+ years ago and the model has been copied. The choice of fresh fruits and veggies will satisfy the most demanding of consumers and the choice is generally dual; organic or conventional. Ready to eat meals are varied and of good quality. They range from Pizza to Bar-B-Que (this is Texas) to Sushi to Vegan. There is a salad bar with the usual suspects as well as some very original ingredients to satisfy any palate. The down side is that rarely can you put together a salad delight for under $10.00.
Getting to the store can sometimes be a challenge because of traffic and construction. However, there is sufficient parking under the store. Great selection of wines and all the cheeses to go with. The bakery is good but the pastry section is divine....

“Best supermarket ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

Took my son to visit Baylor University and drove down to Austin. Stopped by Whole Foods as I was looking for some quick veggie for take out and read that they have it. We were happily surprised to see the arrays of ready take out food to purchase - assortment of packaged cold food, steamed vegetables, sushi, pizza, sandwiches, desserts (yes), gelato (yes), and a whole island of hot food to choose from. And you can sit outside to eat also on the tables they have. This supermarket makes me want to move down here.

“Flagship for Foodies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

A visit to Austin isn't complete without going to this Whole Foods. You simply haven't been to Whole Foods unless you've been to this one. They've got it all because this is the flagship store.

Take everything you know about Whole Foods and expand it and then expand it again. Besides the incredible depths of the product selections what I think sets this Whole Foods apart is the special sections such as a raw bar, a do-it-yourself granola stand, a BBQ joint, a wine and beer bar, and the list goes on. This is pretty much a mall of food with little stands along the way. The bakery and confectionary area was the highlight for me. So many interesting cookies and chocolates, I went into complete sugar overload. That's a good thing.

Got questions about healthy and conscious eating? Experts are on hand in each department to answer your detailed questions and provide lots of food samples. Mmm.

Come here for lunch and enjoy the wonderful patio outside or bring something home with you. It's an Austin Foodie experience you simply can't miss
