The Texas Freshwater Fisheries was a great time for the adutls and kids alike. The first part of the building is a walking tour of different habiltats and features some really big catfish. Bring a couple bucks in quarters to buy some feed. The rest has some fun museum style exhibits. You can take a trolley ride around the fish ponds but I would skip that next time. In the back there is a fishing pond and you can get some equipment to fish with from the Rangers. There was some lightning in the area the day we were there so I cannot tell you if the actual fishing is any good. Does it really matter? I did see a walking trail but coudlnt say anything about it. There is plenty of open space for picknicking and lots of tables.
