Happened into the Star of India as it filled up for lunch (medium to small dining room), had a craving for a biryiani, which was not on the buffet line. The buffet looked very appealing, just had a craving. The chef offered to make me a biryiani. I had expressed some caution at the range of heat in the usual "mild, medium and spicy" by saying that Indian "spicy" can be dangerous (delicious but not for the faint of heart) and opted for medium. The biryiani which was excellent, prompt and very reasonably priced, on the safe and easy side of medium in my experience.
Very personable and welcoming staff.
I Look forward to my next meal here on my next visit to the area.
