Delicious burritos, tacos, and nachos! Pile it up and get ready to be full and happy! Fun atmosphere, and beats chipotle by a mile. Get the hemp brownie for dessert! Love that they have choices for vegetarians too.

“If you like Chipotle you will like Freebirds!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Good burritos made to order. If you like or have been to Chipotle, Freebirds is very similar. I like the fact that Freebirds will melt cheese inside the shell before filling it. I highly recommend their queso dip...it was very good. Check it out, you won't leave hungry.

“Fun for students”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Just o.k. Mexican food in a great setting less than a block from campus. If the weather is nice by all means sit outside. I had a fish burrito, and it was rather underwhelming, although the home-made salsa was great (you need to ask for a side order of this). My friend had tacos and she wasn't blown away by them either. Overall this is serviceable for lunch. It looks like it might be more fun in the evening- there is a great bar in the back.

“My absolute favorite lunch spot”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

For a great burrito or quesadilla or bowl joined to a trip back to the 60's - find a FreeBird World Burrito restaurant. Great food - not overpriced - nice atmosphere. Friendly nuevo hippies greet you with "Hey man - how are you today". Classic music plays and the walls are decorated with memorabilia. I love this restaurant and wish they had more of them where I live.

“From small to OMG!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

This place is a made-to-order burrito, with much more ingredient selections.

The small burrito is great if your not too hungry or you want a light lunch.
If your starving, the super monster will fill you up and some left overs.
The super monster can be enough for two people.
A customer a head of me order the super monster, wish I took a photo of it.
The burrito is about as long as my forearm!

The burrito are build while you wait.
There are about 4 different tortillas flour, wheat, spinach, and cayenne.

The Carnita is very good. I seem to always get this.
Okay, occasionally I would get the veggie.

The green sauce is mild. Some may say its bland.
The semi-hot red sauce is a step up and some may say its tolerable.
I like the hot sauce to add some heat and flavors and not just heat only.
They also have BBQ sauce, was not brave enough to try this.
Me, personally, not too sure about BBQ sauce on a burrito.
Out of curiosity, I may try the BBQ sauce.

The Freebird in CA have fish and here in Tx they have veggie.
One day was on a veggie kick, and the veggie burrito was just as good with out the meat.

At times, parking can be a challenge at this location.
