Found this place on Trip Advisor. Up the street a little bit from Cowboys Stadium and Texas Rangers ball park. Had lunch the first visit, than came back the next day for breakfast. Had the chicken fried steak for lunch. Not greasy at all, good flavor and generous portion. Mentioned the non greasy taste to manager and he said they change out the grease daily. Waiter offered us their homemade sweet butter. Excellent!. Got a couple slices of their homemade pie's and cakes to go.Big portions and great taste. Breakfast the next day just as good as the lunch. 3 egg omelets stuffed with what you order. Everybody friendly. Great local cafe

Have enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at the Buttermilk Cafe. Breakfast at 7am on a weekday was rather empty but locals started appearing and were welcomed by name and knew each other. Selection and preparation were good - Pancakes, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, biscuits, etc. Went back for SUnday lunch. Really crowded. Lots of families. Easily handled the crowd. Daily specials $8.45. Texas style home cooking (chicken fried steak, chicken fried steak, turkey and dressing, baked chicken, catfish, etc). Very filling. Senior servings available. I'm trying those next time. Wide range of menu items in addition - hamburgers, salads, etc.

Have yet to try the bakery items but they look really good!

This restaurant is nearby Cowboys Stradium/Rangers ballpark/Six Flags so a great place to go before a game or a day at the park..They are open 7 days a week.Open from 6:30 -3:00.We often go for the breakfast which selections include the basic breakfast items as well as three egg pan cooked omelets, breakfast favorites, senior & childrens menu. For lunch they have Salads, burgers, sandwiches and healthy items along with four different meal selections to choose from the weekly special. The soups are very good too.The place is always filled with families, workers on lunch break. As you come inside the door there is a pie case to the right and when you see it you will want to save room for the dessert!Try the Buttermilk pie!
Service is friendly and sometimes slow, but they often come by to check if you need a drink refill or anything else.so if you are in hurry, on a lunch break just let them know.

Huge breakfast, awesome omelets, good quality like mama would make. Service slow, and kind of grumpy. Prices are excellent, full breakfast and coffees for 3 with tip was $30!
