Mickey's is a favorite of ours. The view is fantastic. Situated right on the water, you can sit, sip a beer, and watch the boats go by, the pelicans, and the gulls. The food is always good. We have tried several different meals and have never been disappointed. On our most recent visit, we started with a dozen oysters on the half shell and a beer each. The oysters were a little on the small side, but so fresh and good, we ordered another dozen. For the meal we ordered a shrimp burger and fried shrimp plate. The fried shrimp were butterflied, big, plump, and fried to perfection. Lightly breaded, crispy and cooked just right. The slaw was light and refreshing and the french fries were thin and crispy. The nicest surprise was the shrimp burger. The shrimp burger was filled with the same shrimp being served on the shrimp platter. A lot of places serve big, nice shrimp on the platters, but when you order a sandwich, they substitute tiny, frozen (not fresh) popcorn shrimp, which is a huge disappointment. Not here. The shrimp burger had big, plump butterflied shrimp, also. It was all delicious. One thing to not is, they do not have any beer on tap, but they do have a good selection of bottled beer and a full bar. We have had the margaritas and they were also very good. All in all, you just can't go wrong. When we feel the need to relax and kick back, we head to Mickey's. There is nothing better than sitting on the water, having a beer and watching the time go by. Attire is super casual: shorts, flip flops, etc. This is a fishing crowd. By the way, this is a boat up restaurant. Take your boat, tie it up, and sit a spell. Side note: There is a regular crowd here and they lok you over pretty good when you walk in. Don't be shy. They are all nice.
