Tuesday of this week we got a chance to head back over to Johnny Carino's to have some lunch. We used to eat here at least once a week and sometimes twice a week and at some point felt like the service was lacking and the food just didn't have the same consistency it had in the early days of our experience with them. It's now been a couple of years since we've been back and so we thought ......"Why not give them another try?"
Not disappointed. I ate my usual (Jalepeno Garlic Tilapia) known by the wait staff as "Hot Fish" and was very pleased. The food was very good and very plentiful. The fish was cooked just right and the noodles were pretty much perfect. I know they don't put lots of seasoning on it and I like a bit more salt and pepper but overall the dish was wonderful!
Now to the service. The last few times we were at Johnny Carino's we were very displeased with the service. It was slow, very unprofessional and just had the feeling that they really didn't care. This visit was a very pleasant surprise. The young lady that waited on us was very friendly and very professional. She took care of us the way one would expect service in a nice restaurant. We were glad to see that things had "shaped up" somewhat!
