“Conveniently located next to hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner there on the night of 11/3, and Sunday nights are very busy. Quite a few Hispanic families apparently went there for a special outing on Sunday. We hope their meals were more satisfying than ours.
My husband ordered sirloin steak, and his was not quite medium rare. It really was too rare, but he chose not to complain. I ordered half a roasted chicken, and it was served overlooked and quite dry. The sides of Caesar salad and baked sweet potato were very fresh and good, as were the steak fries.
The restaurant warns at the front door that they have peanuts and peanut dust inside. Those with peanut allergies should pay attention to that warning. A bucket of peanuts in shells is placed on every table. We like to order local beers, but none of those offered on draft could be considered "local."
Our young waiter was most enthusiastic. The noise and music level is quite high, so you need to expect that.
The reason we would return is that only a short walk from the hotel is required to get to a dinner spot.

“Nothing to write home about”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013

We ate at this Texas Roadhouse because it was next to our hotel, which had given us a coupon for it. The seating is mostly booths. There is also a bar. Parking is free.

They don't have a gluten-free menu, so I had to improvise. I got half a chicken with no skin or seasoning. It was merely OK. The salad was fresh and the apple sauce was OK. My husband liked his prime rib, though he said the rice that came with it was dry and not very good. The service was good. We wouldn't eat here again.

“Pretty good food and a pretty fun atmosphere.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

We stopped on our way to Albuquerque. All of the meals were large and very tasty with the exception of the hamburger. It is was more bun than meat and the meat was very salty. I will give them that error. The other 5 in our party all had great meals of salds, steaks, etc. and veggie plates and all were large enough that no one could actually finish them. We went there in an off hour but even then, it ran at 50% capacity. It seems to popular local establishment and justifiable so. I would return in spite of thwe hamburger misstep.

“very loud if your into that type of scene”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013

We really wanted a steak and chose this place. Very busy when arrived and wait time was about 20 minutes. Husband ordered bone in rib-eye and I ordered boneless rib-eye. My husband was very upset as his basically came medium-rare and he ordered medium...then to top off his was very tough and couldn't break down. Mine on other hand was perfect. Waitress was upset and felt bad about this and had manager come over. He was very kind and offered to have another made up to order and sent out right away. Well this didn't work for husband and he decided just not to have another. Manager very kind and wrote his part of bill off of ticket. He also gave us coupon for appetizer for next visit and bag of peanuts. Now you also need to remember I had no issue with mine.
