Been here several times over the years and it hasn't changed a bit - food excellent and staff great! The atmosphere is what you come to see - and most places in town offer a pick up service from the restaurant in the "Big Texan Limo". Reasonably priced for the quality of meat. The only difference this time was that a gent from CA was able to eat the full 72 ounce dinner in 45 minutes! Was a hoot! Would recommend if you're in the area.

It's everything you would expect from a tourist place, but it also had excellent service. We watched a gentleman attempt to eat the 72 oz. steak but he didn't make it. Our server was wonderful, and she even indulged us by bringing us some fun cowboy hats that I plan to share with students.

My steak didn't turn out right and had to be sent back. The ambiance was exactly what we expected..a little bit cheezy. :) We were just a little disappointed on the steak front, but the app was great.

This was a midpoint travel stop and friends had told us you need to stop at least once. The place has a Texas road house feel with lots of animal heads overhead. We were seated quickly and reviewed large menu. The brought us water that is Amarillo bad tasting water- not their fault. I ordered rib eye that was excellent and wife had prime rib. It was a very good steak. We also enjoyed a couple of guys trying to eat the big 72 oz steak. All in all a good stop and worth sating, " I've been there".

our tour bus stopped here for dinner with reservations. we had to wait about half an hour and they directed us to the gift shop-no surprise there!! Very touristy stuff. No sale for me! We had a set menu of chicken fried steak, salad, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Since this seemed to be popular on the reviews here, we were fine with that. It was very good. I would have liked to taste a steak there, but it probably would have been less that expected since there were so many of us. There was water set out at each place setting and we were given ranch dressing. my wife hates that type, so it took 10 min to get a waitress to bring her some French. We never did catch a waitress to bring us a beer or iced tea. Can't remember what we had for dessert, so it must have been average. maybe it was a scoop of vanilla ice cream. there were 2 young men trying to finish the 72 oz. steak, but they couldn't do it. Now we can say we finally visited this place and won't need to return.
