Lousy food and service. Very cold in restaurant. Everyone was wearing their jackets. My steak came lukewarm. Rolls were good. Tasted all day which means it left a funny flavoring in my mouth.
Gift shop a joke. Spend your $$ elsewhere. Other diners complained about food and service too.

A must visit place when visiting Amarillo, the atmosphere, decor and staff are all great here unfortunately we were disappointed by the food.
I ordered a sirloin steak as i like a lean steak but was disappointed to find it riddled with fat & sinew and very hard going to eat. A real shame as the ambience and fun of the place makes it worth a visit just don't expect the best steak!

Prime rib came out cold, and could not eat half of it. Rib looked dry cooked. This and the sirloin steak were on the bland side. The baked sweet potato was soft. Our waitress's shift ended before we were finished, and we were not notified of the change until another waitress came to our table.

The place has lots of Western art to look at, but the food is below average.

We recommend Johnny's Steakhouse in Salado, TX if your are looking for steak and sides done right.

We went on a Monday evening and it was crowded even at 6PM. We started out at the bar where they have a "sampler" tray of all 11 beers for $11. Service was slow. it took a bartender about 5 minutes to greet us and another 5 to ask what we wanted. Since this was our first time here sampling all the beers was great fun. I did not like all the beers but they were fun. The pecan ale was actually pretty good.
The restaurant was crowded but we were seated right away. The waiter greeted us quickly and was efficient with our order. My wife and I shared the 18 oz Rib Eye steak with baked potato and veggies, for $25. The veggies were cooked to death, just like my Mom just to cook them. The bake potato and steak were delicious. The meal was enough for us to share. The atmosphere is very good. I almost wish we had been told there was a wait so we could have explored the place a little more. Well worth stopping by if you are in town. PS, a young guy finished the 72 so steak dinner while we were there.
