traveler from W to E coast with a good sense of food and flavor and wanted to get good BBQ in Texas while driving through. tried for Tyler's next door but it was closed so came here. Service was excellent, atmosphere was quite for a sports bar and restaurant, especially since it was a saturday. The food was average, smoked brisket was dry and the BBQ sauce that came with it was dull, maybe Heinz. the pulled pork was very tender and juicy but lacked flavor and spice. the toast that came with it was just butter and toast, could have used some seasoning to spice it up.

I don't recommend this restaurant, i think you can find better.

Joe Daddy's appears to be a local bar for the football/sports afficianado. The bar has a great viibe and a monster television screen which makes you feel like you are on the field in the middle of play. Beers are great, bar food fine.

The standard dinner menu was actually very poor. We ordered the BBQ special for two. Food came out cold like it had been sitting around the kitchen all day. It was so bad that we sent it back for reheating. When the food came back the second time, it was a tad warmer but not by much. Nothing worse than cold onion rings.

The server appeared as if he did not want to be there. Another profession would be better for him since he looked so miserable and this translated into his service.

Will not return.

One of the best places I've been in Amarillo. Food and service were fantastic. Good portions for the money as well. Come hungry.

Try the smothered fried chicken. Out of this world. Price has went up and the portion size including the sides have went down. Now there is an extra $1 charge for fancy sides which includes fried okra. Wow! I did not know that was considered a fancy side. Just good ole' soul food. Will think about returning with all the price increases.

Went late Fri evening (7:30 PM). Had about a half hour wait. Large crowd. Got seated just as the band started up. Loud, but OK. Had good dinner and desert. Wife wanted to get a good steak while we were in cattle country and she did. Rustic atmosphere. Outdoor seating, but not tonight! Cold and blowing. Would stop again.
