“The best!”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

I travel quite a bit for my job, and this is the best Comfort Suites that I've ever stayed in! It is fairly new, decorated in a pleasing modern style, and really clean. The rooms are quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The front desk staff are nice, and the breakfast is great! My daughter and I enjoyed the Texas-shaped waffles, and my gluten-free husband was able to find several things to choose from. Lots of seating for breakfast too. The internet was reliable and speedy. To us, the only downside was how slow the elevator was - not a big deal. There are lots of restaurants and stores nearby too.

It was good experience from the time we pulled up in the parking lot. Easily located just off the freeway. Hotel had a nice exterior and parking was well lit. The lobby was pleasing. Check in was a breeze. It appeared that this is a fairly new hotel so furniture, carpet, bedding, decorations all seemed fresh. Room was all we expected it to be. The only downside was our room was located right across from the elevator and ice machine but it turned out that we really never heard much noise during the night. We spent some time in the exercise room. The equipment was all working and there was bottled water available which was wonderful. The pool was inside and a nice size. The family enjoyed splashing while I enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was hot and there was ample room for everybody to sit. Check out was quick and painless.

This is a great hotel that appears to be very new. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The workout room and pool are awesome. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast area is the neatest one that I've seen in the Comfort chain. The only negatives were that the breakfast was only average. Also, there was a sock and pair of underwear under the sink. We only found that because my daughter had dropped something back there. Overall, though, it was an excellent stay and an excellent experience. We will definitely stay there again.

After traveling to Colorado and back and staying in 30 year old hotels for $200.00 a nite that were barely adequate, it was nice to get a king size large room that was clean and new for just $109.00!! For the money, it's the best stay I had on my vacation.

Stayed here on the way to Colorado. The hotel looks fairly new and is clean. Our room was spacious and the beds were quite comfortable. I always like this chain because of the no smoking policy for the entire property.

This was the second time we've stayed here on our way through Amarillo. The first time the hotel was brand new and while this time it was showing a bit of wear, it was still a great spot for our family of five. Our three girls love the large pool and hot tub (although they always seem to be out of towels) and we like that this hotel feels like a safe location and it within walking distance to several places to eat and even a few stores like Michaels, Burlington, PetCo, etc. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip through Amarillo.

Room Tip: several people comment that noise from the lobby can be an issue on the 2nd floor so maybe ask for a...

We are a family of six (four small children) and chose this hotel for one night b/c the suites could accommodate a family of our size. Around 8 p.m. our room began vibrating because of a boisterous Latino wedding in the ballroom downstairs. The beds in the room were literally vibrating from the subwoofer down below.

We asked to be moved but was told the hotel was booked - unless we wanted to fork over an additional $150 for an "upgraded" room.

Question: why in the world would you put a family with four kids (including a toddler) in a room where you KNOW you have a loud event scheduled?!!

A few hours later my husband went downstairs to chat personally with the front desk clerk, but she was outside taking a cigarette break. She said the wedding would be over by 10 p.m.

By 11:30 p.m. we were STILL listening to the Macarena and ALL of us were still wide awake - exhausted by our 500-mile drive that day but unable to sleep because of the ridiculous noise.

The next morning at check-out we complained again, and the front desk said they could knock off $20 but that was it. She PROMISED her manager would call me and I left my name and number. I never heard from him. Surprise.

We got on the road that morning bleary-eyed, angry, and frustrated by an awful night's rest.

We will obviously NEVER again stay at a Comfort Suites or Choice Hotel. What a waste of our money. They have a LOT to learn about customer service.
