The hotel lobby was very nice, the staff was very friendly, and the hotel was located near the hospital and highway which made it easily accessible to restaurants and the airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Amarillo on business or for pleasure.

This Hampton Inn is a little difficult to find. It's located off I-40 and situated behind another hotel and restaurant. Look for the sign from the frontage road and proceed down the driveway to get there. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. A short time after arriving in our room, Candiss from the front desk called to be sure everything was satisfactory and asked if there was anything else she could do to make our stay more comfortable. The only downside to our room was the upholstery on the easy chair was worn/torn and needs to be replaced soon.

Thank you for reviewing your stay at the Hampton Inn & suites Amarillo. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. I want to let you know we will be replacing all the soft seating in the guest rooms soon. Starting the 4th quarter of this year we will be renovating the hotel. Renovations include the indoor pool, fitness center, meeting room, and Guest rooms (bathroom, entry, carpet, soft seating, window and wall treatments). These renovations will be complete by the end of the first quarter 2014. We hope you will return to Amarillo to see the exciting improvements we are making!

This hotel was extremely clean and very welcoming. We were traveling with 4 grandsons (6-14) and the complimentary breakfast was an exceptional value. Make your own waffles - something for everyone. Location was good - lots of restaurants close by.

I am shocked at the other reviews because in my opinion it was one of the worst Hamptons I have every stayed at and I stay at many. Our room was old and dirty with stains on the ancient furniture and bugs in the bathroom. The bed was just OK. We were told we were getting a Hilton Honors upgrade which I doubt. We were placed on the first floor next to an exit where noisy guests were coming and going all night (I assume to smoke). When I mentioned it to the staff they just blew it off. The only good news is that there are many restaurants nearby many within walking distance.

Room Tip: Don't let them put you in Room 101. It is very noisy.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. On behalf of the entire staff, I apologize for the issues you experienced. I will be addressing the “bugs in the bathroom” with housekeeping and our pest control company. The stains you mentioned in your room are, unfortunately an issue we have in many rooms. We are going through a renovation this fall which will include the replacement of all of our soft seating areas. We have had all of the chairs, drapes, and carpet in the building cleaned professionally, and while some stains were able to be removed, some were very stubborn. Room 101 is a studio suite, which at our Hotel is the Hilton Honors upgraded room type, I apologize that you found this unsatisfactory. As 101 is at the end of a hallway there is a door to the exterior and stairwell close by. I will be speaking to maintenance to make sure there are no issues with the doors closing to heavily. While we cannot always prevent other guests from making noise, we can do our best to accommodate your request for a quite room. Please let us know of your preference and we will be happy to accommodate you any way we can. It is unsettling the staff did not acknowledge your issue and I will be addressing this as well. Our goal is to make sure you are 100% satisfied with you stay. Again, I apologize we did not meet your expectations. We hope you will return in the future, so we can show you the improvements we are making!

Although the GPS led us on a runaround, once we found this location we were very happy. This is Hampton Inn at it's best. The room was spotless ( we had a king with sofa) and there were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We ate at the Pizza Hut very close and it was a good meal. The Jacuzzi was clean and had good power. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Amarillo was by far the best ever. We found the staff - all of them - to be friendly, courteous and full of knowledge about the places to see in and around Amarillo. We were there for 3 nights and were greeted like a good friend each morning and on our return at the end of the day. We will definitely return to this location again and recommend it to everyone we know who might be going there.

The hotel was clean and quiet. They have recently renovated the rooms. It is Non-smoking so that's a plus. The pool was a little chilly, but my son and I swam anyway. The breakfast was pretty good and the service was friendly. We would stay here again. It's a good place to stop over on your way to or from Colorado.
