Description: Hoffbrau Steaks was Voted "one of Dallas' Best Chicken Fried Steak" by D Magazine. Family owned steak house, rustic and casual with a unique Texas atmosphere bordering Fort Worth and the famous Stockyards area. We now proudly serve Premium Black Angus beef, and a wide-ranging menu of chicken, ribs, seafood, salads and burgers. We keep it Salt & Pepper Simple and make everything from scratch with love. Daily lunch specials are delicious and affordable. Large TV's are perfect for watching sports. Come sample our extensive list of local, national and international beers. We love to cater weddings, birthdays and office parties. Let us help you plan your perfect event in our "No Bull" party room. Nestled around the fireplace you'll feel warm and welcome from your first bite. Our party room can seat up to 50 but can also be perfect for 12. Happy Hour is from 4PM to 7PM on Monday through Friday. Early to-mid 1800's German settlers, who helped develop the Hill Country of South Texas, also recreated their beloved "hoffbraus"or "beer gardens" where local townspeople, farmers and ranchers gathered to enjoy hearty meals and brewed beverages in a setting that was naturally casual yet humming with conversations and warm friendly service. What began as a "Hoffbrau" in South Texas truly was the origin of the Texas Hill Country Steakhouse... A tradition that our family has continued since opening Hoffbrau Steaks in 1978. Enjoy yourselves, our Texas hospitality... The great steaks and foods for which we are known. Many thanks, The Fogiel Family

“Ok!”
Reviewed August 22, 2011

Had dinner on 8/21 while traveling thru town. The athmosphere is definitely on the usual chain steakhouse vein, with of course a Texas flair. Service was ok had to ask for silverware. Ordere an appetizer of fried pickles which is one of our dabs, whoa the salt was all we could taste had to drink water all might long. The salads had more cheese than veggies. Main. Dishes of steaks were ok but nothing to rave about, tender and moist, but no seasoning.

“Excellent steaks”
Reviewed July 3, 2011

My partner and I shared the TEXAS TWO STEP Center Cut Sirloin for Two. Mine was ordered medium rare, hers medium well and both arrived exactly as ordered. Mine was VERY good and the onions were great with the steaks.

My salad was pretty standard Iceberg lettuce with diced tomatoes and Texas sweet onions,

We each got the scalloped potatoes and they were VERY good, nicely seasoned and cheezy. Very filling so I ended up taking half of mine home for breakfast. Our server recommended this “side winder” and it was the best thing he did for us.

I had a nice Hoffbrau Original beer from Germany and it was a nice treat.

Service was prompt and attentive, but hopelessly geeky. Our server was a teenage boy who tried too hard to be personable. At one point he actually belittled my partner for wanting her steak medium well and boasted he liked his 60 seconds on each side-practically uncooked. He will learn to be more professional.

“One of the best steaks we've ate in years!”
Reviewed September 7, 2010

Amarillo should have good steaks. Hoffbrau's is easily the best place for steaks that we've ate at for the last few years. Service was very good. We'll be back next time in town.
